The girls teams, after dominating the North Hills league the last 4 years, moved to the very strong Crestview league. With a complete team effort (all 15 on varsity, all 17 on JV, and 18 girls on FS scoring points towards the team totals) the Comanches made an excellent debut into the new league. 13 of our 15 of our varsity girls made championship or consolation finals in both of their events. Swimmer of the meet runner-up, Haley Newman, led the varsity, winning her 2 events, the 200 free and 100 Fly (where she reset her school record and barely missed the league record), then anchored our 1st place 200 free relay. Also leading the charge for the varsity with 2 championship finalist swims were Lexi Alexen (200 IM and 500 free), Bree Anderson (200 IM and 100 back), Kaya Barrett (100 free and 100 back) and Kayla Yamashiro (50 free, 100 free). The following girls that made one championship final and one consolation final included Ashley Marino (50 free and 100 fly) and Keilani Quan (200 IM and 500 free), with Anna Vaughan (200 and 500 free), Kaela Gonzales (200 IM, 100 breast), Jordan Ninmer (50 free, 100 free), Carina Griego (200 free and 100 breast), Amber Gimino (100 fly and 500 free) and Emma Baker (200, 500 free) making consolation finals in both of their events, while Kamille Kazarian (100 back) and Naseem Pirnia (50 free) each made consolations in one event. Consolation champions included Kaela Gonzales (100 breast) and Anna Vaughan (100 free).
