The Canyon High School Foundation has selected the CHS Gymnasium as the 2016-17 Fund A Need, and we need your help. The Fund A Need is an annual fundraising project identified by the school that benefits the entire student body. Our 2017 efforts are focused on funding a multi-tiered project to refurbish and renovate this vital campus facility that is utilized by over 2,400 students, 1,200 athletes, and multiple community athletic and recreational programs. In its current state, the gymnasium is not equipped to adequately meet the needs of these diverse populations.
With YOUR help, we can!
We are currently looking for:
- Community members willing to help with this project (community outreach, marketing, networking, cultivating donors and foundations). To get involved please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Donors, sponsors, and community/foundation grants to help fund the gym updates
Why can’t we use Measure S funds for this project? Per the guidelines set forth in the bond resolution, Measure S funds will be focused on renovating the educational environment at Canyon, i.e. classrooms. While gyms, pools and fields are all used as educational spaces, the funding priorities are to create science labs that meet current safety and classroom requirements and to remove portable classrooms from the campus.
